Sidnami Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Who is the guy from Germany that does the art with the human corpses? Some of his works was in the movie "The House on Haunted Hill" and has been displayed in several magazines. He's takes donated bodies and add resin after shaping them the way he's going to use them. This also includes seeing the inner workings of them too.
ManicQueen Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Are you thinking of Dr. Gunther von Hagens creator of Body Worlds? B~
Onyx Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Professor Gunther von Hagens, of the University of Heidelberg in Germany (I didn't actually remember it, was at a site not too long ago about him)
Onyx Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Haa! I should have known I wouldn't answer in time with a question like that on *this* board.
mallochai Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 not ALL of his bodies were donated, though he got better about it. Last I heard, he was trying to open up a mass production factory in Germany to do his art on a larger scale, but the government said no.
ManicQueen Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 There's a show going on in Chigaco at one of the science museums. I plan on attending in June.
SomeDanGuy Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 yep, at the museum of science and industry. It is awesome! I went 2 weeks ago. Made me realize how much anatomy I forgot in just a few months though =(

But only if he uses it in a collab with Mark Pauline.
