Well the weather's not too great for my inferior driving skills, but hey, us sit at home people can still be social.

If I make a room in stickam, will anyone join it? Should be nice to see people in person, in a sense, for once.

What is Stickam? Is that one of those chat/game sites with retina searing graphics?

Nope, its a video chat site, for anyone who has a video camera. You also dont need a cam to chat, it's just an added bonus =P

Am I the only one with a laptop purchased in the last 5 months? I think just about every new comp nowadays comes with a build in webcam.

My Macbook Pro has one built in but I'm having trouble getting it to connect after my trip to Japan. That needs sorting out. I have some photo editing to get to anyways. I can gab later if you're around.

EDIT - Connect to my wireless network. I'm on my desktop at the moment. No cam on this one..

LoL, my MacBook does too, but I haven't been able to get the video cam to work since we were in Hawaii. I can get it to work to take pictures in PhotoBooth but that's all.

I really should get AppleCare to fix that .....

Well, that defeats the purpose of seeing people =P Camchat is kinda nice because you can see people's facial expressions, etc. Although people find me rather boring on cam. I tend to say shocking, or hilarious things, and not crack a smile. Very dull, serious-faced young woman.

Yahoo has video capabilities. Not sure about AIM. There's always Skype too. And if you were on a Mac iChat.

I tend to look everywhere but the screen. I'm easily distracted.

I got the wireless working... on the laptop now.

just as a side-note, troy, the board founder, typically discourages dgn-group online chatting, as it really kills the activity on the board.

maybe in the future, this could be taken to pms?

sorry, i'm not trying to come off as an ass - just trying to follow troy's guidelines... :happy:

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

      Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

      Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
