Destroit Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 How does a topic about weight loss turn into a topic about shitting in merely two pages? Threadjackers, geez! Start a poop thread for crying-out-loud .

Brenda Starrr Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Colon cleansing is PERFECTLY acceptable to discuss, as it aids in the loss of excessive weight. Poo to you.
Nienna Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Yeah, it's a great way to jump start weight loss.
TomCat Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 well, I'll need all the help I can get...I did dip under 190 once this century...but it was short lived...I really need to get back there for Good.

torn asunder Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 not to be a drag, but i'd like to remind people that their weight can fluctuate (depending on your current size and diet) up to #5 in a day. personally, i've seen it myself - in fact, even when i'm eating consistently similar meals for weeks, i will drop 2-3 pounds overnight. water weight, (both intake and waste, from urine/sweat) the actual weight of the food you eat, BM's, etc... i'm not trying to discourage excitement over weight loss, but you may lose 1 lb today, and gain 2 tomorrow, and wonder wtf you did differently to mess up like that, when it may very well just be natural fluctuations. < / end bummer-tude >
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 i try to limit myself to weighing every couple days or so... its not good for me to keep looking at the scale (a watched pot never boils kind of thing) so I'm happy with my 1lb, esp since i weighed myself a couple days ago.
Oh_My_Goth Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 I am soooo hungry right now... I must find something healthy for a snack.
Destroit Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Getting ready to DDR some shit UP! Will be back to gloat about how many calories I burned in a few hours. Oh, and my exercise ball came in the mail, so I can do sit ups and the like.

TomCat Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 ...that's why I don't even haz a target weight...as it is just shape I am concerned with... True dat...I actually have "Size Goals" because as I tend to get more "fit" I gain a lot of muscle weight. If I relied on weight alone, I'd be killing the scales.

StormKnight (1) Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Things I have done to drop weight range: Transitioned off of diet sodas at home, have now gone almost strictly green tea. Will only allow diet sodas at maximum once a day, improved from a six pack a day. Increased fruit intake Increased fiber intake Using nuts to substitiute for other random snacks more water drinking Not eating in the cafeteria at work Getting some workout time in (though with the current project, that has been hard to do. Been up until midnight for the last several days to finish a project, and up at 4am) Eating breakfast regularly Though I will occasionally binge on sushi, the cost keeps it a rarity. People can testify to my calculating how much I order for sushi. I do have a target weight. Two of them, to be correct. Taking getting back in shape in two phases of weight loss. The first is where I should be in a couple of months. The second is the long term goal.
TomCat Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Weightmuscle > fat LOL, thanks for that factoid Capt. Obvious, but I figured everyone knew that already...LOL Love Ya brotha!!
TygerLili Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I need to get a decent scale. The one I have is crap.
Destroit Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I've only played two songs on heavy mode and burned off 70 calories already! That would take fucking FOREVER running. DDR = FTW!

I only ever gloat when I reach 10 lb limits, A) because lb is EASY as cake to lose, I can burn 3,500 calories with exercise in two days without diet modification and B) Because one pound doesn't not affect your appearance what-so-ever, therefore, I don't care about a single pound. BUT...one thing to be proud of if you lose only a pound or two: Be glad you didn't gain a pound or two and the scale is in your favor atm!
Rev.Reverence Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 LOL, thanks for that factoid Capt. Obvious, but I figured everyone knew that already...LOL Love Ya brotha!! ...not everyone! ...I really should have put that in quote tags so as to be from "The Narrator"...
Destroit Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 ...that's why I don't even haz a target weight...as it is just shape I am concerned with... I go off BMI. And no I don't mean the type of BMI where you go to a webpage and put in your height and weight, as that also does not account for muscle, but I"m talking the kinds that are built into scales for instance. You used to have to go to a doctor or weight loss place to get your BMI done, and now they built it into a lot of scales. Isn't technology badass sometimes?
