torn asunder Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Awe... I gained 3.... :( eh, that's within normal range strictly for water retention, regardless of what foods you've eaten in the last few days... don't sweat it!
Nienna Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 eh, that's within normal range strictly for water retention, regardless of what foods you've eaten in the last few days... don't sweat it! Heh.. no I totally pigged out all weekend. It's "real" LOL
torn asunder Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Heh.. no I totally pigged out all weekend. It's "real" LOL my point was, that if you ate more than you usually do, you weren't "eliminating" it as fast as you were taking it in, which means those three pounds are likely just undigested food, rather than any more permanent weight, i.e. fat cells, etc... see? there's a positive way to look at anything!

Well, I shall hope you are correct!

Oh_My_Goth Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 I am having Me lunchtime smoothie again today... Strawberries, blueberries, pomegranate juice, lowfat vanilla yogurt, plant based protein powder, flax, multi-fiber, green tea, milk thistle & some ice Delicious & filling... I also have some herbal supplements that I did not put in due to the fact it would have made it taste like sea weed Not that seaweed is on it's own or wrapped around yummy fishes, but w/ fruit, After a bit of doing the smoothies almost every day for lunch, I will slowly incorporate food back into Me lunches slowly, This is just a good way to kick start the process.. & Stay healthy while doing it... Back in the day I would have just skipped lunch all together.. Ahhh, the invincibility of youth... Now I need a good protein source to function properly...

Destroit Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 The scale at my gym seems to be broken since it says that I'm anywhere between 130 and 195 pounds. I'll stick with the 130, you know, because it's more motivating...?
TygerLili Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Back in the day I would have just skipped lunch all together.. Ahhh, the invincibility of youth...Now I need a good protein source to function properly... I would still much prefer to skip either breakfast or lunch, but I am trying to be healthier so I am pretty much forcing myself to have a yogurt smoothie or a protein bar or something similar for one or the other so as to eat 3 meals. The scale at my gym seems to be broken since it says that I'm anywhere between 130 and 195 pounds. I'll stick with the 130, you know, because it's more motivating...? Well, the halfway point of those would be 162.5. And at the Rev and OMG exchange.

Nienna Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Someone needs to come over here and drill sergeant me into exercising. I hate it SO MUCH!
Guest greyhalo Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Someone needs to come over here and drill sergeant me into exercising. I hate it SO MUCH! I hear you. I especially hate it during the winter. I've lost about 3.5-4 lbs. over the past two weeks. I lose weight very slowly, so it will take me time to lose 20+ lbs. But, I'm eating better, and I'm trying.
