e-jewell Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Since I'm engaging in this game again after a long time not playing at all, it's sort of controlling my life lol. Anyways, let's talk tactics, ladies and gents. Who uses scroll of town portal 500 times every time they face off against a difficult boss? lol. I just keep returning to town, getting healed, re-casting my bone shield and raising my army... then go back and attack him till I'm at about 1/4 health. Then I use the scroll again to do the same thing. It's pretty nifty how his health doesn't replenish when I transport to town. I feel sort of cheap though....
Scary Guy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Ah, a necro. The army is awesome. They kill things for you while you pick up the treasure. Really you don't fight much at all. I put down that crack though, considering the game is almost 10 years old now. Time to do something constructive, like fix my server.
e-jewell Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 My computer unfortunately sucks for PC gaming, so I'm limited to older games. Can't afford a decent system right now, even with tech wiz friends who have offered to build me one for a fraction of the price. Still damned expensive. So I stick to diablo, doom, my ps2, my sega genesis, and my n64. Paper mario has been with me lately, as well.
Soulrev Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 My buddy and I are working up our Barbs. Here are my weapons for now.
e-jewell Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 My buddy and I are working up our Barbs. Here are my weapons for now. I'm not familiar with barbarians, but those seem like some pretty sweet weapons. Also why do you have a cloth hat? It must have some mad bonuses for a barbarian to be wasting his time on it.
Reaper Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I am currently using a Necro level 28 on my laptop. I still have to add the expansion to it. On the other computer I had before the harddrive crashed, I had defeated Diablo twice and was going for the final strike. But before I did that I saved it and was going to try to kill him later, only to find out my computer took a shit. I was bummed. Now I have to do it all over again except with the expansion pack. The new expansion is pretty cool now that you can kill all the minions. Its too bad you can't dupe items like you could in Diablo 1. I just keep pumping my necro's stats on raise skeleton until I can get the magi-skeletons. Then I hire a good warrior, give him some good armor to keep him alive, raise a golum, and usually have 4 skeletons roaming with me. You are then complete on your army. Unfortunately, I am like a barbarian so I start hacking into all hell with my army. I'm not the general that armies would want, cause I would get killed.

Scary Guy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Also why do you have a cloth hat? It must have some mad bonuses for a barbarian to be wasting his time on it. This isn't a fashion show. It might be ultra unique or from the Hell level of play too. Are you sure you aren't using some hackware? Nah, looks pretty legit to me. Also skeletal mages suck. Stick to regular ones and revive.

It's easy enough to get, plus the added bonus of customizing the equipment on your merc's, but I'm lazy. I will eventually.
Scales Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I played for a long time back in High School, till I got sick of it/all my friends stopped playing. After I got bored with the game I started doing minor modding stuff with it. I used to use character editors to make "hacked" characters a long time ago, for instance a Barbarian that appeared "naked" (only small charms, and jewelry) who did 18 million in aura damage all with multiple elemental and other damages stacked in. With maphacks, I don't know where their undetectability stands on B-net because I haven't played the game in so long. Awhile ago I racked up another souped up character for fun and went into a friend's LAN game and killed Baal on Hell difficulty in one hit, which is 'bout as cheap as it gets. I didn't party with their character's so they didn't get the quest completion (wasn't trying to be an asshole, just a smartass). Those weapons Soulrev has are probably legit, runeword stuff. The hacked stuff I used to make either takes up the whole screen with maxed stats, or the description can't be shown because it will crash the game. Obviously none of the local/open character files can be used in the closed B-net. That green cap is probably a Shako, the first cap on the page below. People have in the past, stuck perfect Emeralds in socketed caps to make them look like Shako's and trade-scammed each other. http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/uhelms.shtml *Edited 1,000 times.*
Scary Guy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 (wasn't trying to be an asshole, just a smartass). Impossible, since all too often they are one in the same.
DarkVampire Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I love Diablo 2. Back in the day BattleNet ruled.
Scales Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Impossible, since all too often they are one in the same. True. I know a fair amount about the game, but I've had my bad builds on closed and I've always sucked royally at trading.
DarkVampire Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 After seeing this thread I decided to reinstall the game and play it again.
e-jewell Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 After seeing this thread I decided to reinstall the game and play it again. Ah, yes... changing lives for the better is my middle name.
paradox Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 used to play years ago with some dude in washington state i knew. fun waste of time. cant afford the time anymore, though. never got too into it though

paradox Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 ok lets see...the barbarian can take a MUCH larger "hat".... :o
e-jewell Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Helmet, smartass. "scalp covering battle gear", if we wanna get all specific and such.
