mmmm... Hola Ghost. I have the entire Hola Ghost album with the movie score and all! Its pretty effin awesome being that there are really only 4 "songs" on the entire thing haha.

Pete is a pretty effin awesome guy too! Was sad to not see him with Mad Sin this time.

Indeed he is! A friend of mine who is currently out in SoCal [oh, i wanna go so bad...] talks to him from time to time, he recently emailed him the lyrics to 'Cannibal Flesh Riot!' with the condition that if he covers it, he has to videotape it and send it to him so he can critique the performance.

besides the frequency of rockabilly/punk/psycho shows... I hate SoCal... its an effin pit and the people are typically annoying as hell, way too into how they look, and where they are seen. I enjoy visiting my friends there, but, only because its to see them... not the city/area.

thats is neither here nor there on this topic hehe. sorry to /threadjack

This is true, they're generally more about obtaining the 'perfect pomp' than the actual music, hehe ;)

So much easier to find the sexy psychobilly men there though... :yes *wistfull*

Yeah, too "scene-centric" out there? Not to mention that you actually have psychobilly gangs out there, too. Not sure how SoCal became the mecca for rockabilly/psychobilly and kustom kar kulture.

On the other hand, you have a lot of psychobilly girls of Mexican ethnicity in SoCal. :)

Yeah I know what you mean, that seems to be where all of the messican psychobilly men are hiding too. Screw the knight in shining armor, where is my knight in tattoos and dickies at? *shakes fist*

speaking of Canada, there's an all-Canadian rockabilly band show at the Berkley Front (on 12 Mile west of Coolidge) this Saturday. The bands are The Greasemarkers, Burnin' Ethyl and The Silvertones.

y'all ever heard of a band called The Builders & The Butchers? they're more country than rockabilly, but I think you'd really like them.

3 bands who are generally maligned in the psychobilly community.

Ever hear about that time TA played a free gig with the Betty Fords @ The Shelter where Kim and the Brew Crew made off with TA's backstage beer? :)
