Brenda Starrr Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 She opens her window just to feel The cool night air on her face She smells something different It's a scent she cannot place Looking in her bedroom mirror Her silhouette in the darkness The moonlight dancing around her She's tired and feels a mess She senses a presence dark and near From it she cannot run and hide Nor does she even wish to try Born and ready for this ride The tattoed angel sees here there His yearning so deep and long He waits for her to fall fast asleep So he can fly right in She knows the tattooed angel is Just waiting to breeze right in So she pretends to fall to sleep To start this night of sin She arises early in the morning Smiling warmly, bright, and free For the tattooed angel to come back And swoop down from the tree
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 When reading the first few lines for some reason it made me think of Zeppelin. I dunno why, I know it's not anything of theirs but it just gave me that feeling. I like it.
The Rod Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Beautifully worded and structured... you have quite the talent, Brenda.
