Impressive is putting it lightly... dude deserves some kind of medal or commendation for sure!

With the constant stream of bad news, it is soooo nice to read about a potential tragedy being averted entirely by wits and skill.

and muscle. That took both the pilot and co-pilot giveing it thier all in pulling back on the stick to keep the nose up. Both enigines dead means almost no power to the hydrolics... so it was man power pulling back on this flight controls. I heard one ex-pilot saying that if they had hit nose first rather than on the belly noone would have come out alive. The plane would have crumpled and gone to the bottem.

It doesn't look like many people had coats on in the photo above. They must have been damn cold out on the water like that. :cold:

Good things the boats showed up quickly.

I'm the retard who would have froze and drowned trying to be a badass and swim to the shore before the rescue crew got out there.

But in any case, this flight was a miraculous event, I always get a warmth and a rising in my heart when I hear epic stories such as this. I did get sad for those birds momentarily, however, but at least it wasn't all those birds PLUS a plane full of people.

This actually made my day. :) Guess the universe decided to be nice to someone for a change.
