prick Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Theres a rumour that there is going to ba a Thundercats movie. I heard Brad Pitt will be Lion-O
Timata Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 MACHETE To all who were disappointed in Grindhouse, Rodriguez is making it up by making a movie from the best less-than-a-minute part of it. I haven't seen Tarantino's name on it, which leaves me a little saddened, but Rodriguez is a brilliant director as well. Danny Trejo is coming, and it will be amazing. (special note: I liked planet terror, and felt that deathproof car could have been much better if it had more time to flesh out characters and develop the plot a bit more)
Guest Megalicious Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Exit Through the Gift Shop. Coming to Main Art in the first week of May I believe - can't wait.

Joey Deadcat Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Splice is looking kinda interesting. The hybrid girl is looking strangely cute to me...
f0rged Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Last I heard, the Dark Crystal sequel was dead in the water...but it looks like it's full steam ahead again: http://io9.com/55309...promise-puppets That will be interesting to see! I'll have to tell my co-worker. Her granddaughter's name is actually Crystal Shard in honor of the movie.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg are teaming up for this film, due next summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRTQOxrsmKQ this is NOT the Cloverfield sequel, btw; it's something all new. :D
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 zomg, ur not gonna believe this! a movie about post-9/11 NYC - and it's a musical! with production numbers and everything!
n0Mad Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Sucker Punch looks pretty sweet. It stars Emily Browning (Lemony Snickets) and I've loved her since Ghost Ship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR5RaZupoO4
n0Mad Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 After watching the above trailer, I realized they used Crablouse by the Lords of Acid. That song seems to pop up often in trailers. I think they also used it for Land Before Time 4 which I found hilarious. I think the people who make trailers use that song as a sort of in-joke because not many people know what it is let alone know what it's about.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 This is insane: looks like Ron Howard's going to direct a movie-and-TV version of Stephen King's The Dark Tower. The way it's supposed to go is like this - movie 1, followed by season 1 on TV. Then comes movie 2, followed by TV season 2. Movie 3 wraps it up. more details at link: http://io9.com/5633554/ron-howard-and-akiva-goldsmans-dark-tower-adaptation-a-totally-insane-mix-of-tv-and-movies Brad Pitt and his Plan B production need to seriously look at doing something like this with World War Z.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 This movie opens tomorrow in India, and it looks so #@!*ing awesome that I almost gave it its own thread! hopefully, Emagine Novi will have it sometime soon. :D
Joey Deadcat Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) Film with Sean Penn that's still in production. Some scenes were shot earlier this week @ The Majestic Theater. http://screencrave.com/2010-08-24/first-look-at-sean-penn-in-this-must-be-the-place/ Edited September 24, 2010 by Joey Deadcat
LoTek Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 for what it's worth, Splice was OK. Not fantastic, not earth shattering, but adequate. Certainly not terrible. I think it would have done better if instead of ripping off (or a huge homage, however you feel about that kind of thing) Cronenberg, they just let Cronenberg direct it. THEN, it would have been epic. as it stands, the director did an okay job. the cinematographer was very skilled, and the opening reel was very nicely done, but it kind of fell flat with a lot of static shots and same old same old kind of feel half way through. all in all definately worth checking out, but watch before you buy.
LoTek Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 this could be fantastic, or it could be terrible. either way i'll check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RHZh8tXkks
