Scary Guy Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 If their toast wasn't so damn good...and their maids...but thats it... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_toast Actually I guess we have the Romans to thank for it.
candyman Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_toast Actually I guess we have the Romans to thank for it. Well now your just trying to get me to hate the French...hate monger!
Slogo Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 yeah That was a pretty bad idea to begin with. And radiation. If my history is correct France is responsible for that too. And every war there has ever been along with every disease. France is by far the most evil place in the world
Scary Guy Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 yeah That was a pretty bad idea to begin with. And radiation. If my history is correct France is responsible for that too. And every war there has ever been along with every disease. France is by far the most evil place in the world Actually if anything France is awesome for discovering radiation. Too bad Marie died from it though. Only a couple of months later, Skłodowska-Curie died. Her death on 4 July 1934, at the Sancellemoz Sanatorium in Passy, in Haute-Savoie, eastern France, was from aplastic anemia, almost certainly contracted from exposure to radiation. The damaging effects of ionizing radiation were then not yet known, and much of her work had been carried out in a shed without any safety measures. She had carried test tubes containing radioactive isotopes in her pocket and stored them in her desk drawer, remarking on the pretty blue-green light that the substances gave off in the dark. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Curie Not to mention a lot of goth culture stems from there as well.
Rev.Reverence Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Actually we can blame the french for that ...tell me we COULD NOT move it.... ..OR ...not be SURPRISED when it floods every few years or so.... Actually if anything France is awesome for discovering radiation. Too bad Marie died from it though. Not to mention a lot of goth culture stems from there as well. ...peoples tend to forget ALL the COOL art that came from there as well...& I think some philosophers as well...oO..oO...& Eliphas Levi ...FRANCE ROX...for the most part...

But they hate everyone...my friend studied art in France for a year and was amazed that somehow, there is a country out there that hate outsiders and its own countrymen more than America...they did give us that damn statue though...but its not really that cool To their credit they can kick their own ass harder than most other countries...yeah we had the civil war...but they had a better one
TitsMcGee Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 ...tell me we COULD NOT move it.... ..OR ...not be SURPRISED when it floods every few years or so.... Yah we should have, but didn't which is why we're not all that bright too. But what I meant is that we can blame the french for the inital city.
Slogo Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I think we should move New Orleans to Utah. It just seems like something Utah needs...along with their new state motto "SHOW ME YOUR TITS"

TomCat Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Eh...don't get me started on France and the French people....too late... Yes,They have fostered some great artists and minds... but more often than not, that was centuries ago. They helped the US at the end of our Revolution....but only at the Very end. It was almsot the same as showing up with a shovel to help bury the English after they were surely beaten, in my opinion. Not quite like the US contribution of lost lives and supplies we offrred up to them in those lil' World Wars, you know I & II where we bailed there asses out and restored their freedom. They left Vietman in such a state that, well, you know how that worked out for the US too... Let's not forget their ban of US flyovers for all of the conflicts/wars in the Middle East, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, and Former Yugoslavia actions that the US has participated in since WWII, despite their dependance on the very oil reserves that the US also had interest in. (The fact nonwithstanding that in the former Yogoslavia, Iran, Iraq actions were to combat groups conducting genocide and in general, just not playing well with others...) Yet this is a culture of people who generally speaking, look down on Americans as pigs and generally being beneath them. I could take or leave France in it's "current mindset." France, thanks for nothing (I'll stick with my "what have they done for us lately?" mentality)

phee Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 France has Philosophers We have TV Self-Help Gurus And guns
candyman Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 France has Philosophers We have TV Self-Help Gurus They also reach out to those of all race and respect them...not wait thats not right yeah...they have some great thinkers over there that have almost solved great problems they also have thinkers that have come up with the modern "final solution"... if our racism in America is bad...then the racism in France is toxic...they even have black people hating black people....hitler style...you know, where you deny your real race and attack all the others people over here bitch about the KKK which is all but gone...while in the last few years the neo-nazi movement has more than doubled over in France...but thats ok because they have good thoughts and thats really what counts... I don't give a shit what people "think" up because in the end what they came up with may be ideal but...this...is...reality...Get it? Where death is not avoidable, shit smells like shit, there is no "perfect" country or political system, and where France has fallen VERY FAR from the tree it grew from
TomCat Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 France has Philosophers We have TV Self-Help Gurus French Philosophers? Really? Who? Anyone with any decent ideas? Or just overly educated types spouting off, like all of their "great minds" during the last century? As philosophical as I can be, I sure do enjoy being a part of a society that has as many "doers" as it does "thinkers." The single greatest attribute of America is, and has historically been, the fact that we will get dirty for what we want. It's called work. And Work is not a dirty word. The single biggest problem in American society is fools who get so educated that they can't change their own tires when they get a flat. The wheels will stop turning on the "top heavy self absorbed society" of ours because too many people are too high on themselves to turn a lug wrench. Society needs a balance of laborers, skilled trades, engineers, farmers, civil servants, medical types, military, and corporate suits. WE all inturn then rely upon OUR elected officials to steer the wagon (if you will), while the rest of us, cogs may we be, keep the "machine running," so to speak. Otherwise, the "machine" that is our society will collapse upon itself. It's getting close to that point now. Far too many people are far too impressed with themselves and have a HUGE (false) sense of entitlement to get anything, of any substance, done anymore. If the United States of today was sent back in time to WWII times, with only WWII technology to rely upon, we'd all be speaking German here today. France would only be a place where wine is made and statues of Hitler would be lining the Champs D Elysse. So yeah, I'd just as soon walk away from a snotty talking outtahisass frenchie as I would sully my fists with the blood off of his nose. Because the last convo I had with such Euro Trash, almost ended with me choking a bitch. As someone who's had relatives fight for and die for French freedom in WWI and WWII, I take extreme offense to them saying we (Americans) haven't contributed anything to the world or to France, and that theirs is a much better society. *steps off soap box for now*
TomCat Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 +2 Gracias. That's Spanish for thanks! At least the Spanish are socialists and are willing to admit it. LOL

TomCat Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 "I am a Canadian, I am like an American but I am not armed" - Kids In The Hall Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence. Buddha Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest. Mohandas Gandhi "Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far" Theodore Roosevelt Knowledge, charity, principles, and character are great attributes. Defending those attributes against those who would have you think otherwise is conviction. Conviction alone is greater than the sum of all other attributes. Jeffrey Good (that's me, by the way)
