To all of you that thought Bush was going to declare martial law and throw out the Constitution rather than leave office (yes, if you look there are many that said this on the board)...

Whats it like to be watching him be so gracious during the transfer of power?

I thought he did a nice job at giving up power. Frankly I think he's just ready to get back to Crawford and crack a beer with his "mission accomplished" sign

I am glad that at least he left office gracefully... at least that part of the presidency he didn't screw up.

I am glad he is gone...and not because I hated him either...never loved him...he was just another human trying to please idiots.

I am glad because maybe, just maybe all the "intelligent" people will get a clue and stop kicking the dead horse...actually I should say that they are kicking the air where the dead horse used to be because it long ago decomposed.

I am actually concerned about Obama installing martial law...his "civilian security force" concerns me in that area too...but concern is as far as I will go until more evidence comes out...*whistling while cleaning guns*

I haven't been here all that long, so I have to ask:

how long ago did such discussions take place?

how many of those people are still here?

Huh???

I never ever even remotely thought that there could be any slight or even remote hint of inpropriety in this transferance of power. Anyone who'd think that...is wayyyy too paranoid or from possible/probable Eastern European, Central/South American, African continenetal descent. In almost 230 something odd years of These United States of America, short of the attempted succession of the Confederate States of America has there even been the slightest challenge to the Presidency of the USA. Even the CSA had the decency to elect their own President, and then go to war to attempt to succeed. I must have missed some real humdingers about politics during my hiatus... :no

Not even a fart in their general direction has ever been uttered between an outgoing President and an incoming one. :gathering:

This isn't Cuba, mon amis. :no

I don't think I wrote anything around that consensus, but I did post Alex Jones documentaries which is the same thing. It was nice that Bush was pruned, he fit in right with all the other plants.

I should add that I didn't think he'd really do that, I figured it was a remote possibility but what I really thought was Jeb would run for office and they'd use their power to get him in so they could run things for another 8.

Not that they're still not running things, they just have less control than they did.

Now it would be nice to see some corporate asshole ceo's gone as well.

How about all of Washington? Make it the last nuclear testing site on the planet? Or fence it off so we can hunt some real game? I got ammo set aside for this too...

Shit...I can't fit Al Gore's ego in my crosshairs!

Too bad there was'nt a fault line in that area.

World Com and Bank Of America would make excellent testing grounds.

No fault line needed...just a beautiful ring of razor wire, boo gas, and bouncing betty mines...and bleachers so we can watch

As much as I hated him (Yes, I know hate is a very strong word :yes ) I must say his transfer of power was good.

Now the next question is...

In 4 years if the economy is better, you still have your guns, the mission(s) HAVE been accomplished and Obama doesn't get blown will you actually admit things are better?

yes, but I will give credit where credit is due. That is to say, I will credit Obama for the things he does and fault him for the things he does. Everything else, goes to the people at fault/behind it.

I will not turn into a rabid Obama hater that blames him for everything and credits him for nothing.

An example... Katrina... People lay all the blame on Bush for the failures there. They ignore Nagan not letting people use school buses to leave, they ignore the fact that Nagan didn't follow the emergency plan that NO had and within 43 days had it taken off the official NO website to cover it up, they ignore the Governor stopping the federal relief people at the border and telling the feds that they didn't need aid from the feds. They ignore Nagan telling people to go to that stadium, rather than actual emergency shelters that were setup and ready to help.

Did anyone watch the speech he gave in Midland TX? It was quite good IMO.

Very true. It was a failure at every level. But even you have to admit, putting the horsey show guy in charge probably wasn't one of the better ideas

Neither is building a city below sea level and then getting confused when a hurricane washes over it.
