candyman Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Cons: Our own version of the Green Movement The new hippies Professional sports Lazy people willing to let new laws "help" them to live We "want" to help everyone but most are unwilling to actually do so We think that we are somehow worse than all those other countries New York, Chicago, LA, and other major cities Pros: If you work hard you can go somewhere...at least for now Fewer restrictions than most countries No religion has the majority in the political realm Agriculture here is the most advanced and brings in the most money
Homicidalheathen Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 No religion has the majority in the political realm I disagree, think christianity is still a big influence
candyman Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 No religion has the majority in the political realm I disagree, think christianity is still a big influence Just saying that you are christian doesn't mean shit. Sure some have said it but in the end the only place that is is still solid and seen every day is on our money....don't read your money and you will be fine... I am getting sick of people bitching about christianity. The persecution against that religion is insane and from what I have seen includes beating, lawsuits, church abuse, and in some cases death. Yeah, other religions have felt that too but to a far lesser degree and they usually hit back. Christianity, well they rarely hit back and if they do its with come sort of written or verbal decree...so who gives a shit? I consider us lucky considering all the other countries out there that have different religions that have far more control of their government. Hell, Soviet Russia even proved beyond any doubt that a governemnt and country with absolutely no religion at all is not possible in the real world. I for one do not think that this country will get any better. I am not saying that it is horrible...its just that people are blowing the wrong things WAY out of proportion when they should focus on bigger issues. There will always be governments and there will always be religion. They will both be linked together to some degree. If you can't become a big enough person and advance yourself enough you are gonna have some problems. To the people that have their panties tied up in a bundle I say this: Just kill yourself now because I don't want to deal with your stupidity...if you are nervous I will do the stabbing for you. The other option for you is to live on the damn moon...no government, no religion, no people...its just you and everything will be sparkly-happy-fun time. The above statement was directed at everyone...not just a single person.

Scales Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I hate American pride just as much as I hate pride of any government. I hate that the corporation, in having the rights of an individual and money as its only need, has the potential to become too powerful and corrupt; most likely since there isn't adequate competition in a Statist system to keep a powerful, viral corporation from working for its consumers rather than its future income. I hate that I was brought up to believe in Christianity. I hate that I have been ostracized for anything that does not align with the select mannerisms that make up Christianity. Or for this matter any organized religion. I hate that children are brought up without free-thought. I hate organized religion and its continous spread through community and politics. I hate the stigma in this country towards what would be best worded as romanticism. I believe the blunt of this stigma comes from those who keep a societal monopoly on romanticism: organized religion and government. I hate the American educational system, which is nothing more to me then a social-acceptance prison ran on memorization games to create competitive, future workers at the cost of the love of actual learning, skepticism, and creativity. I hate the American fixation on sports which I believe is largely the byproduct of America's love of warfare and war corporatism. I hate the mind-numbing false information that pours out of American media like an on-tap drug. I hate America's drug war. I hate American drug companies that have taken advantage of the infant state of cognitive science in order to cash in on anyone and everyone regardless of their inherent problems and the problems of the drugs prescribed. I hate the taxation and banking procedures of the American government. I hate anyone who tries to threaten me into believing that America is free.

Simon Bar Sinister Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 And they don't exist...where? The question is what we like/don't like about America. I don't give a shit whether or not there's a place where they don't exist; they're here, and so am I.
TitsMcGee Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I hate being lied to, which seems to happen a lot.
thewhiterecluse Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I hate being lied to, which seems to happen a lot. Same here and being led on to be pushed away even if its as in just friends, psk, what a waste of time. Psycho dumb dumb keeps figuring out ways to call me even after I had her number blocked. I'm just going to have to change my number again *sigh*... It's a pain because I have to call everyone thats my friend in my phone and let them know I have a new number. Hahaha yeah I have people I'm not friends with anymore in my phone so I am aware when they call so I won't answer. They can leave a message though, maybe I will listen.

jynxxxedangel Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I love this country, and the beliefs I was raised upon..and that's why I'm leaving.. I may shed a tear or two-- or many, and only for the other brokenhearted believers.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I hate people who only use thier Freedom of Speech to bitch, whine and moan that other people have Freedom of Speech. I hate people who think that Freedom OF Religion somehow translates to to Freedom FROM Religion. I hate people who refuse to see the real cause of a problem because that catalyst turns out to be something they supported. I hate Bush bashers who blame everything, no matter how far removed, on Bush. (See above)
