taysteewonderbunny Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Anyone else getting this message? Is it hacked?
Der Nister Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Just looked and it is fine as far as I see. Are you sure you typed in google? I once typed gppgle without realizing and thought something was wrong with their site.
taysteewonderbunny Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 yeah, I'm sure because it's set as my homepage. What apparently is happening is that google's search item http addy is coming up in front of every address. Delete the extra addy and everything is fine.
jynxxxedangel Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I've also had this happen, TWB. Weirdness. What antivirus are you running? I'm assuming AVG.

Der Nister Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I feel left out because I'm using google and not having any problems with it. =( Seriously - on my computer it works just fine. *<------------puzzled*

StormKnight (1) Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 i have seen it happen. Something may be hijacking you. I would go in and delete all cookies and clear the history and cache (if you don't already.)

jynxxxedangel Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 If you're not running AdAware as well as Spybot S&D, I strongly suggest both!
taysteewonderbunny Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Okay, I heard the story on radio AM 950. Apparently Google chalks the whole thing up to human error; one of their employees, whilst updating the list of dangerous sites, accidentally did something that made every site come up with that warning. The glitch only lasted for about an hour Saturday morning, but I just happened to search in that hour. Still, good advice on the AdAware and Spybot stuff. I think I have some loaded on my puter. I will have Az_ double check it tomorrow.
Scary Guy Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 https://ssl.scroogle.org try it out, it's safer and they're not logging your search terms.
