I think we should set up a dgn night once a week away from the clubs!

You can set up any event you want, just keep in mind that there's only certain events that can have the title "DGN Night" or "Official DGN Event" .

I'll go, as you can see from my earlier post, CC is pretty much dead to me. I go only for DGN Saturdays, to see you guys. I can't stand the most of the other people there, and by other I mean screaming preppy loud girls and obnoxious/aggressive wiggers, so I'm down for attending other events ALWAYS.

You know, I just didn't notice the weirdness this time. I guess I was kinda preoccupied (::ahem:: SPEAKING OF, Miss Eevee... you aren't allowed to make fun of me anymore. XDXDXD).

I missed OMG's drama...wasn't even aware there was any. I'm sorry to hear it, because I saw you two earlier on and talked with both of you and really enjoyed doing so, so I really hope whatever happened doesn't give you any lasting problems. You two are so special and unique that you add to the club...I hope they don't keep you out. Then again, I have no idea what happened, so I would have no idea if you deserved it!! But I'm sure you didn't do anything...tooo bad...

The only things I noticed last night was that there didn't seem to be too many DGNers, a lot of people who are there every week were missing... but all the super regulars were present, as they should be.. We had a StormKnight and a DarqueMedallion, one of whom spilled the other's beer all over me. D: hahaha But it's all good. We had a Skyfire and an Eleven and an Eevee and a Gimp. We had a Rev and OMG which was awesome and not common enough (but hopefully won't become even less so). Apparently we had an eternal and a beanwater, but goddammit I think I still haven't properly met you guys...WTF~!!! D:D:D: We had a Riku and an Osaka, of course. Apparently Slaugh and Necromanta were there but I didn't see you guys..unless I did, but I think I saw you guys on Friday not Saturday? Were you there both nights? Or am I just getting them confused? I was there for so long on Saturday (from 10:30-4:30!!!) that I think I may be dividing my time, instead of into (1) Fri night and (2) Sat night, into (1) Friday night and Sat night before drunkenness, and (2) Sat night after drunkenness! (Can you follow that? Oh well...) Oops...

I guess I just didn't really notice the weird vibes. I wonder why... The music seemed...the same as usual. Friday was the night where there was seriously a time when I thought they just said 'fuck it' and turned on 89x, not Saturday...so Iuno. The last hour or so was so amazing...they played all my favorites... They kept upping the ante, going from good to better to best... Seriously, guys...you are going to kill me if you go from Depeche Mode straight to The Cure straight to Joy Division and then finishing with Ministry...It's PAINFUL! But actually just an amazing flow - start off working up with Mode, in heaven, then flowing right into bliss with the Cure, slowing it down a bit and just having fun, just when you've begun breathing again bring in Joy and make me really lose control (I spun so much at one point I lost my balance and ended up on my knee for a beat before bringing it back up and continuing...), and then Ministry to pull it all in...damn, Void, damn. NICE nagare. And all this not 30 minutes after the Peter Murphy / Heppner duo and Sisters? You really kill me...

(And then you DID kill us with FOB but I guess it makes everyone get the f out...)

(PS Everyone may complain about the music here but I was at the self-proclaimed 'actual goth' night last week and half the night was like the least goth part of City, so whatevs... I prefer the goth stuff myself and tend to hate the techno-y stuff, so you won't find me disagreeing with your sentiment, but just don't put down City at the expense of another place that does the exact same thing. That said...I've never heard the Creatures at City, and that makes me weep.)

So yeah...more goth music would be appreciated. I would be the last one to not agree with that.

Trying to think of more to say about the night in general...but alas, I just don't have much to say. There was less crowding which I thought was awesome. I got to DANCE when I wanted to without bumping into people. It also meant less people I knew which was a bit sad but there were plenty to have a great night with. I didn't have any problem with 'wiggers' or 'trailer trash people' or anyone at all. No one gave me a hard time at all scratch that, there were a couple assholes throughout the night with BoPeep comments, but then when you are wearing what I was you have to take that in stride, which I do. haha

I will post again when I think of...something to say. I'm all a blur right now. Friday and Saturday are completely blurred together, and Sunday's not entirely distinct either. I was just so happy to be there...I missed you all so much after just one week away (didja miss me??? XD).

Sorry to hear some people had a bad night and don't want to go back to CC for a while. That's how I felt after going last Saturday. I like going to CC after not going for a while. I like to dance, and I like socializing with DGNers.

However, it's been way too crowded on the dancefloor lately. Also, people are drunk and rude, and I tend to get shoved around and kicked on a regular basis. Also, I witnessed two girl-fights last week that really put me off from going there for a while. I saw a young black woman get a pitcher of beer dumped on her after getting called a "nigger" by a trashy white woman. *sigh*

I guess I prefer to hang out with DGNers during our other get-togethers. There's some great people on the board, and I like being able to actually chat with them in a low-key setting.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten all about the fight the broke out pretty much right in front of our faces.

What's bothered me the most the last 3 or 4 times I've been there is that I can't manage to dance more than one damn song, and it has nothing to do with the music. I usually get to dance about 1/2 to 2/3 of a song before some skeezy guy starts grabbing/humping on me. I usually try to politely pry their hands off and push them back a couple feet at first, but most of them can't take the hint. WTF? When did it become acceptable to just randomly walk up to someone and start groping them, and why don't guys (or occasionally girls, but it's usually guys) get that you can dance with someone with out constantly trying to have your hands on their ass/boobs. Damn booty shaking clubs! I don't mind dancing with someone I don't know, but respectful dancing, not mauling me on the dancefloor. Doesn't seem to happen as much at Necto, Luna, etc. They will come up to dance, but are much better about keeping their distance. *end rant*

I, too, think that if I want to meet up with DGNers I will start looking into the non-club related get togethers.

Yes, guys suck at CC. They start to get the hint, actually, after a while if they remember... I actually haven't had anyone up on my shit in months... So either people remember that I don't do that, or they just aren't at all interested, but I'm guessing that's not it because I had a LOT at first??? ><>< But I guess I am easy to remember even for the drunken frat boys....

It's partly that ... the more worrying thing is the rude and disrespectful tourists and assholes. People need to make more noise to the security guys, not just push them away. Complain loudly and get these losers ejected. It may take a little time but hopefully they'll get the idea that they're not welcome and things will get better. That said.. There are a significant group of annoying and juvenile non-tourists that need to learn to cut the drama crap out...

EDIT - For the DGN women... it might be useful to snag one of then DGN men(Or whoever you feel comfortable with) to dance with or near as a form of security. If you sense one of these losers nearby, just whisper into your "partner's" ear and make it seem like you're together. That should do a reasonable job of discouraging them.

I have been noticing the same trend w/ the douchey 'outsiders' trying to be all touchy & shit..

I have had to practically kick dudes to get them to leave Me alone on the dance floor... Alot of 'normals' do think that just cuz us chica's are freaks, that we are sluts as well... Not cool.

I have also had to save a few of the younger DGN girls from creepy guys as well..
