EDIT - For the DGN women... it might be useful to snag one of then DGN men(Or whoever you feel comfortable with) to dance with or near as a form of security.....that should do a reasonable job of discouraging them.

I guess I prefer to hang out with DGNers during our other get-togethers. There's some great people on the board, and I like being able to actually chat with them in a low-key setting.

I think we should set up a dgn night once a week away from the clubs!

I'd like to get to know everyone outside of an atmosphere where I spend most my time dancing and not talking.

And THIS is why I have been trying my hardest to give people other ideas on things we can do. I think it's crap that the only "official" DGN night is held on Saturday nights at City. I don't think it's fair for a goth board to be so closed-minded about other places and things to do as being "official."

Sometimes, I think it was pointless for me to come back to this board. Quit being so closed up about DGN at City being the ONLY "official" event.

Honestly the whole thing just feels like completely unnecessary drama (I don't mean brought on by you, I just mean in general). Who cares about the use of the term "official"?? Who thinks this silly forum is that important? The stickied thread is quite honestly pretty hilarious and sad. Why would, or should, anyone care so much? Wow. What's the difference between "DGN night" and "official DGN night"?? Whatever...it's all the same.

The people here are still cool, Brenda. Just a few who think this board's status is more important than it is. There's still good here. Right now this is just getting silly from both sides. Can't we all just get along??

Indeed I think having "Official Brenda Events" or "Official 'GOOD' Nights" (I like the ring of that one) is a wonderful idea.... why limit yourself by the confines of the site.... who knows GOODNIGHTS might even surpasss our little corner of the internet....lol

If Saturday nights at City Club are the only official DGN events, then why does other stuff get put up on the DGN events calender? I'm honestly not trying to cause drama or anything, but perhaps the calender should be called something else if that's the stance the mods are going to take.
