DGN @ City Club, Saturday, February 14th.

You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of the Ramada Hotel building, located at 400 Bagley Street in downtown Detroit. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains or spikes.

We've had reports that the CC parking lot will not break $20 bills or larger, so try to bring smaller bills with you.

In case you don't know the "DGN Corner" is to the right of the bar. Currently theres a table, pillar and long narrow wooden table, impossible to miss. Come say hello. If no one is there, stay there, they will show up.

After last night I don't know. I can only think it'll be a good night because all the douchebags will abandon CC in the attempt to have VD Day date with their whatever in the pursuit of sex. IF that is the case, I want to get my dance on while I can. So if I don't have a date myself, which is possible *grins* I will be there.

I know, I know ... this is both off topic and me stating that I'm not going, both of which are verboten according to the rules above. But ... how about coming to The Dirty Show this night? Servitor Sanctum 7 (Mean Salley's drum band) is playing at the show this night and assuming I can get in some decent rehearsal time with them, I'll be beating the big drums along with them.

Of course, I suppose people could still go to CC afterward. Don't know if I am or not yet. *shrug* Guess I'll find out on Saturday how I feel.

Hmmm... perhaps, perhaps. It's all about the Bennies in my case. I'm having money drama.

As much as I have been away from security and being a floor person, I still can't get over the habit of looking around the place when I am there to make sure things are OK. And considering more and more of what is being posted, I am looking more and more of going out not only to enjoy myself, but to watch our people's back. Besides, being dateless myself, I usually wear black on Valentine's day and will be listening to "Paint It, Black" by the Stones most of the day.

As people have seen at DGN night, I have very little tolerance for non-consensual touching. At all. However, I have no authority to take offenders' heads and introduce them rudely to the nearest brick-made object (my initial knee-jerk response,) let alone escort them out (after a quick calming moment.) And while I am a brick myself and can just be intimidating by presence (Dad's cop training rubbing off,) being vertically challenged doesn't present the most physically intimidating presence to have one of these frakkers back down.

If anything, I can be as obvious as an armored division through a bamboo forest, so I might be easy to spot in a crowd. Grab me or wave at me.
