This is what I wrote in my journal regarding the night...

City Club last night was uneventful. Nothing good and nothing bad to report, just one of those night where you deal with kids making request for the same overplayed songs. Try as I might, I watched them scatter when new stuff was played (with the exception of the new Controlled Collapse song which had a few people inquiring as to what it was - HOORAY!). Ended up playing the hits to keep them happy. Had I DJ'ed Wednesday and gotten my noise-fix taken care of at Dead-Line, I probably would have been ok with spinning whatever on Friday. I wanted to play the harshness, but they weren't reacting to it whatsoever. Ended up on DJ-auto-pilot last night. It happens. Got paid and drove home in the snow -listening to the new Stendeck CD which is AMAZING and put me in a bit better mood!

Noble and I are there this coming Saturday and I just might have to "ignore" the request sheet for a bit in favor of playing some newer stuff. Think the kiddies can deal with it?
