It took me a long time to get up the nerve to go out on worknights/weekdays, but now I do it all the time. I'm tired the next day, sure, but if I take a nap between work and going out, I'm usually fine. Oh, and I sleep all day Sunday! XD

It seemed after 10 is when people usually showed up. It's not till after 12 that things start kicking (usually after I've left because I'm old, and have a hard time going out on a school ..err work night).

I guess I could get there at 10 and bring a book in case no one's there yet...but I'd rather nap a little later perhaps (after going out last night, and planning on both Fri and Sat as givens, and working 9-5 or whenever every day, I need my nap before going out in the evening sometimes!)... If people will be there, I'd rather show up early, but if there aren't...

Plus I don't think I've heard anything about drink specials here? How much are drinks?

I'm kinda the opposite, If I am able to take a nap, I will nap myself out of going. If I stay up and stay busy, I can make it to the events, just will be tired the next day. OR just leave early, but that's when all the fun occurs.
