So, I'm trying the beta of Windows 7 Ultimate out. Wow, this is what Vista should have been. Fast. Very Very Fast.

I uninstalled IE8, Media Center and a few other windows components that I am not going to use and it didn;t really have an impact on how fast it is. Cause it's damn fast. No crashes yet, but I am only trying it out for today.. have to hookup my primary hard disk in abit but I will be running it off and on... I

No, same system requirments as Vista... just way faster.

Me 'puter box came w/ Vista, but perhaps it's time to change.. All Rev's music stuff needs special programs to work

w/ Vista.. It's a pain in the ass & takes up space.

It's interesting that the next releases for both OS X and Windows are more about performance and under the hood types of enhancements then anything else.

Well... in my day of testing...

I ripped a DVD, encoded it to divx mpeg and burned it to DVD..

while doing that i defragged my second hard drive...

had music playing

and played WoW

and occansionally checked out DGN

No pauses or slow downs, no bad DVD, no crashes
