Boshy and I were talking about getting out of our townhouses, because we now have a corrupt manager working the place and he makes it VERY inpleasant and unnecessarily expensive to live here, and getting a farm so we don't have to starve to death if everything else goes under. Her and I would plan the garden, I would fish for most of the protein we need from the local lake, we'd hunt also, and if we had livestock I'm sure Timata would handle killing them for us for a bit of the cut. We're good at living off the land, both my family and apparantly Pest is really good at it too, so I don't see why we don't. Fuck depending on society.

Leading states: The jobless rate in Michigan led the pack, soaring 1.4 percentage points to 11.6%. The state lost 69,000 jobs.

The auto industry downturn has hammered Detroit - the state's manufacturing sector accounted for 53,000 of these jobs lost.

Michigan's current unemployment rate is the highest since May 1984, during another rough time for automakers, said Rick Waclawek, a director at the state's labor department.

This from a story on yahoo today. This really sucks people - we are LOSING JOBS - not gaining an inch at all.
