I've been digging and testing php chats on my web site.

I know a lot of us spend time at work and are only allowed to use a browser and would like to use a chat that is just a bit more customizable than irc.

But finding a good implementation that does not involve a board or blog for free ain't easy.

any solutions?

web based IRC chat client is what I perfer. I put one up on my website http://www.thedeadsociety.com/chat

You can get to every channel on the network with that too, it isn't just locked into one. Currently Java but I want to get a flash one up too so people can choose.

Unless someone has a better idea on how to go about it.

Well my chat is a java based chat

I'm working on getting a flash version up in place of it because I'm not a huge fan of java (even though it is mostly open source).

Umm... As to this:

The amount of 1-word or single-sentence replies on DGN has increased exponentially, seemingly since switching to IPB.

Sometimes I wish there WAS an actual DGN chat to take some of that off-board.

Ok I have a chat up and going. It is php. It's not colored how I would like and and considering that my php knowledge is somewhat under the bar i. e. zero, it will take me some time to figure it out, but it is there to use.

Now if only I could find documentation in english

OK as far as official unoffial chats go I've been told by mister who has relayed from troy to please change the name of the one we use.

Instead of telling everyone to go to #cityclub (which I HATE) I've come up with a third and ultimately best option

www.motorcitygoths.com is pretty much a non forum based 3rd party non partisan non siding entity which I support trying to unify all info related to the scene as a whole here in SE/central michigan.

Therefore the new name will be #motorcitygoths instead of #DGN.

I will remain in #DGN to point people to the right chatroom, which has just been created.

I'd rather have it be official but whatever, this is what I get for trying to help out I guess.

I totally apreciate any and all people trying to help DGN, regardless if we agree with what it is they want to do. Well meaning people rock. Its just hard sometimes when you disagree with the idea.
