It's been a long time since I've been here... Now where am I exactly?

Heyyy, everybuddy. I know it has been over a year, but hey, when you're running your own business, it tends to take away from spare time--next thing you know, all free time gets co-opted. That isn't to say it isn't fun, in its own way, but it *is* time-consuming.

To those of you who haven't met me yet: Hi, I'm Jacques Treatment (or at least, that's my old SubGenius name). My real name is Michael, and a few years ago, I used to hang out on this board much more regularly.

To those of you who have: Here's a list of what I've been up to:

Comics: While George is busy on his Pulp Dreams series, I've edited a full year and a half of IF-X. The April Fools issue made it into those stores that regularly carry us just in time for April Fools Day. If you know of stores that you want to carry us, have them contact me.

Games: The only new thing on this front is Sudoku: Tactics being picked up by Blue Panther Games. It's pretty damn cool, too: players compete on a sudoku board to complete rows, columns, and cells while trying to stop your opponents from doing the same thing!

Artistic Tees: George and I have four main shirt designs out, but a bunch more that are just waiting for a chance for us to print them. We'll also silk-screen YOUR ideas cheaper than most everyone else will; please contact me if you have something you would like to do--we have a four-color setup and no time to lose!

Shirtified: This is a new concept of ours--simple text-only shirts for only $10 a piece, and we can always add new ideas and designs by request.

SMACC: Basically, we've got a lot of creative talent here in Michigan, and we're starting to attract filmmakers, from the smallest companies to some of the largest. Let's give them a chance to see what our local talent can do. Film-makers, musicians, artists, authors, actors, fashion designers... all are invited to participate and show off their best work! Tentative schedule is set for July 2010.

Man, it feels like way too much of a brain-dump to get all this information out to you guys, but hey, what can I say? I'm a busy guy!

Cheers,

Jacques "Brain Overflow" Treatment

WELCOME BACK!

Glad to hear that you are well!

Best handle ever!!

Welcome back... I don't remember you but I go on hiatus from time to time so maybe you were active during one of those times. Either way, glad to have you here!

...I used to live in Hamtramck, from '95-01... lived over a bar at JC & Trowbridge. Kind'a miss Hamtramck... but not living over that bar.

Thank you. I've had it, in one form or another, since I lived in Florida. (Ew.)

Well, thanks. This is the first time I recall ever talking to you.

That would probably be what is now Trowbridge House of Coffee, a bar, coffeehouse, eatery, and music venue. It's a pretty cool place. They sell my comics, too. Call me. We'll get a sammich.

--J,

Thanks. I suppose it had to happen, sooner or later...

Of course, I'd be around more often if people were helping by buying our STUFF... then maybe I could afford some of that "free time" that I've heard so much about.

--J,

even now, working on SMACC

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
