Helpful Home Made Tricks And Fixes

I was chatting with a friend about something I'd seen on youtube from Mythbusters (Macgyver clip) where Adam uses some foil from a gum wrapper to fix a blown fuse (it works) and she remarked that her grandfather did that all the time.

Then I remembered when a friend of mine helped me get one of my cars home when it had a hole in the radiator by placing some chewed chewing gum over the hole (the pressure from the running water held it in place) and only after shutting off the car did the gum fall off. Well, it did get me home.

So I thought, there has to be more things out there similar to those two examples and thought I'd post a new topic where everyone here could share any of the things they know about to help others.

..........let's see what we come up with..........

I recently used contact paper to refinish a counter top and it looks great!

Use pure bleach in a dollar store spray bottle instead of tilex

Use clear contact paper to laminate anything
