Being impaled by a piece of wood from a tornado and then picked up by it and tossed around in the air and then hit the ground.

Oh, especially if it was by a steamroller or getting pulled into machinery where you are fully conscious as your extremities are destroyed first, your torso next, and you still have regular brain activity right up until your skull is crushed. That would quash a mood. Yup.

Oh, I can think of more if you are feeling bulimic, my dear.

What about that elderly lady who was pronounced dead as her body had already begun to putrify (she'd fallen and been struck unconscious with a very intermittent heartbeat) but then came to as the bus was taking her away.

Being told you have a tumor the size of a #10 envelope by the tech performing your CAT scan only to have the specialist tell you that your internal organs have been shoved up into your ribcage and are being crushed (which is why you're in so much pain) by a tumor the size of two 1 gallon jugs of milk stacked on top of each other.

(I keep wondering if I should have sued?)

Being in Apollo 1 when the fire broke out. In one minute, the pressure in the capsule doubled, smoke, toxic compounds, and no way out. The capsule door was held in place with 22 bolts that would have to be removed before the door opened. They never stood a chance. Halted the Apollo Project for a year and a half to correct the problems (bad wiring, 100% oxygen atmosphere, a door that can be opened quickly.)

Wasn't that the one caused by a spark from velcro (a relatively new product at the time) on the space suits? They banned velcro after that from use in NASA.

What I'am saying actually happened to me so here I go some acidic soap falling into my eyes which left me blind for almost two years and sitting in the restroom on the can bare footed with a scorpion near me.    Huge dishes almost falling on my head and knocking me out and wearing clothing so tight I can not breath and ironing clothes and burning myself so badly for almost a year and half I did not heal.
