I saw her on some show once... PETA or someone was trying to sue this guy for abusing an elephant, and they were running a video of the supposed "abuse". Which consisted of the guy whacking the thing with one of those elephant control hooks... which I'm sure the thing barely felt, it would be about like hitting a human with a pencil. It certainly didn't look distressed at all, as I recall it was pretty much ignoring the guy. And Bea Arthur was doing this whole horrified act each time the guy hit the elephant, gasping and wincing, acting like she couldn't stand to look at it, and just being really melodramatic about it. She was so over-the-top that the judge finally got annoyed & told her to quit.

oooh, does this count as speaking ill of the dead? Hate to think of being haunted by Maude!

Seeing her on the Roast of Pam Anderson a few years ago was bloody hilarious

She was one of my moms fav actresses and always reminded us of her. They were a lot alike in many ways at least her Maude and Golden girls charactures.

There are topless pics of her on the google search btw how strange is that...

Why the fuck did they roast her anyway? I boycotted it because once they televised it, it was a joke, and not a funny one.

That makes more sense now, they split it.
