jynxxxedangel Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Nice line-up. I'd love to see Lee Ann Womack, Jessica Harp, Kevin Costner, and Willie. So who's going?
Scary Guy Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I am going sorta. I will be at the red wings game on Sunday next door to redneck fest. Next door to what? You're going to redneck fest, admit it. Sports suck. I hope somehow both teams lose.

Rev.Reverence Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 sweet sweet well thats one i just wonder who else is musically open minded or just curious enough to come on down to the hoedown Though I do love (some) of the music...the beer-breathed-fake-cowboys..I am allergic to...
Leland City Club Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 The Hoedown can be a FUN time, with the right Friends . . . That being those who like being around others who are DRUNK in the daylight, LOL ! ! ! It is definately NOT a party for everyone. Those who like FREE events may like it for the people watching, though overly drunken "fake" cowboys can get tired FAST. If, like some people here, you actually like Country music, this weekend will be EPIC for you. I know a few people who were raised on Country music, so this event is kinda like a family tradition. For these people, this is like (name your favorite holiday). A FUN thing about actually going to this is SEEING people you wouldn't expect to be there, having FUN with their Friends. I have been there and actually had a good time in years past. Who knows, you may actually see me there, if you do, say HI ! ! !
Scary Guy Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Who knows, you may actually see me there, if you do, say HI ! ! ! They're actually moving the Leland building to the hodown? Shit I'd go to see that.

Leland City Club Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Oh...so you'll do the reggae fest with us then? THAT...IS my favotite! Sounds like a FUN time with Friends, lemme know the details . . . .
prick Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Even though I am a bit of a cowboy( I can rope, ride, shoot and handle cows). I have country music and rednecks so I wont be seen at the Hoedown. I always thought a Hoedown is when a pimp knocks one of his girls to the ground.
Rev.Reverence Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Sounds like a FUN time with Friends, lemme know the details . . . . No doubt!

Simon Bar Sinister Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I'll be there the last day; Billy Brandt's one of my musician buds. I'd like to see the Wrenfields again just to see if the person I knew who was in that band is still there...but 12:15's awfully early in the day for me. :( ...just noticed a James Otto on the 2nd day's lineup. Pretty sure I did a gig with a Jimmy Otto at Trixie's once - wonder if it's the same guy.
TitsMcGee Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I wanna go see the Zac Brown Band...god I'm country.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 weather's supposed to be beautiful, so yeah. Sunday will happen!
Constantin Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 not to much longer till the start of hoedown yay
Simon Bar Sinister Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 if you're going today, I'd advise you leave for Hart Plaza sooner rather than later. there were so many people there yesterday that the police weren't letting anyone else into the fest after about 6 or 7 PM. equally large crowds are expected today. see u there.
