A short story, sent by a friend. It was fantastic.

Walking down to the railroad tracks a block from my house, through a newly-discovered break in the fence... in time to stand next to a freight train as it thundered by. And I put some pennies on the rail ... turned out the train was on the other track & I didn't have time to move 'em by the time I realized it.. but I should have bracelets tomorrow when I go back to check.

my "boy", as i like to refer to him, went for a walk with me a couple of weeks ago. he'd been saying since last winter that he was going to get me some flowers. we saw some flowers that i thought were beautiful, so being the hopeless romantic that he is, he picked them for me on our way back to my house. made me smile the entire week or so that they were alive. :)
