Samhain Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Now given, his 2006 album "Lost beyond All Retrieval" is some radio rock stuff that I dont really care for... However, a complete 180 from that is his 07 album of "Harsh Generation" Some of the best industrial I've heard since wumpscut. Give them a listen! I fell in love, the entire CD is incredible! (Some of you CC people will know the song "Hate this" (you mother fucker) as a remix they play at city, but I assure you the entire album is incredible!
DJ Saint Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Now given, his 2006 album "Lost beyond All Retrieval" is some radio rock stuff that I dont really care for... Um... not the same band whatsoever who recorded "Harsh Generation". And if you think Harsh Generation is good, you really need to go back and check out the prior CD's "Inhumane Amusement" and "Prescription:Medicine". Glad to see people FINALLY catching on to Jos work.

Samhain Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 (edited) Alright then I'm very very misunderstanding this, I think theres 2 Grendels, because Harsh Generation is fucking incredible. I just got this 08 album by the name of "The Last Shelter" also tagged as Grendel... It's the same kind of music as Lost Beyond Retrieval, but more Hammer-Fall esk. Can someone set me in the right direction of WHO or WHAT made Harsh Generation and tell me his entire album repertoire so I can stop getting this radio rock gar-voj? Haaaang on, misread, thought they were bands names! ...Grendel or bust! Edited May 27, 2009 by Samhain

Discogs has a complete Grendel (who did Harsh Generation) discography complete with album titles and the labels the releases can be found on. Check it here http://www.discogs.com/artist/Grendel The main guy behind this Grendel project is Jos. Nice guy as well I'm sure there's other bands named Grendel, but generally you can find the electronic industrial band Grendels material on Noitekk, Infacted Records (Germany) or Metropolis Records (US). Any other label and it's prolly a differing Grendel. And wait until you hear the new stuff he's been working on. Sources say it's VERY good. Edited May 27, 2009 by DJ Saint
