Thinking that I survived the first Christmas without my mom fairly well. Only cried twice so far.

I feel you. This is my 3rd Xmas without my mom. I still cry. It gets a little easier tho. Just need to remember they are still with you in your heart.

That, in spite of determined blessing-counting, the inescapable conclusion is that 2009 really sucked donkey dicks, camel cocks, and polar bear pricks. Let's start from the beginning: relationship meltdown, work bullshit, more work bullshit, home repair bullshit, unemployment, illness, meds issues, kitty illness. With a nice sprinkling of debt on top of all.

There isn't much you can do about all the gaps in between jobs, which is why I think it's crap. i feel like such a slacker because I haven't worked more.

In that situation it's helpful to do a functional rather than chronological resume.
