I seriously hate this textbook. It's like they went out of their way to make it as dry and impenetrable as possible. How the hell can you be a researcher on learning disabilities, and ignore every principle of effective brain-based learning in your book? These people should get a stroke of the cane for every use of words like "operationalize", "bivariance", and "discrepants". The only possible justification for this book is if they're trying to show what it's like to have a learning disability. If so they have succeeded wildly... I can't make head nor tail of most of this crap. It makes me feel stupid, which I am not used to and don't deal with at all well. Grrrr.
