After hearing what's going on with the public school systems in Michigan, I am soooooo glad I chose an alternative with my kids. Homeschool is not an option, as I am very aware I am neither capable or certified to teach my kids what they need to know (and yes, I am aware you don't need to be certified in Michigan, but I don't believe that is right, in my opinion).
