hmmmm seems like a good idea.... I wouldn't know what to say to those people.... I turn into a bumbling idiot when I talk to people, and try to be professional... or at least sound sane lol

OK, not to be harsh, but this is a job normally held by college students and homeless people for whom giving Plasma is not earning enough for them.

(BTW, if you have a plasma center, and don't mind needles in you, that's another great money maker)

If the wino asking for change can do it, you can do it.

There is literally nothing to say to become a model.

There is no interview process.

You call up the university and say, "I'd like the art department."

Then you call the art department and say, "Hi, I'm GothicRavenGoddess, and I'd like to be put on your model list."

Then they may ask if you're comfortable being nude for art students, and you say "yes. "

Then they ask what hours you are available, and you say "all of them."

Then they'll put you on the rotation. It's sporadic.

Some weeks you'll work 10-20 hrs, some you'll work 2 hrs, depending on how many models they have.

It's too easy to tell yourself why something won't work.

Every situation can open itself to the excuse machine.

Just do it, instead of thinking of reasons why you can't

And tell us how it went.

Now is the PERFECT time. It's the beginning of the year, and the professors are probably scrambling a bit to get the first couple weeks filled.

no no I wasn't saying that as a reason why I wouldn't do it, I was stating that as an observation of myself. I'll make the call tomorrow when I get home. I hope it pans out... 2 hours, or 20, i'd be making money and at least be able to pay for my own cigarettes

I really don't want to go to court today. In spite of the check having made it to Lansing, it still isn't showing up as being paid. I'm glad I have proof (in the form of a photocopy of the cheque itself and the receipt, and a printed screen of the postal tracking webpage), but this judge is really grumpy and mean-- so she may not even listen to anything I say, or look at any evidence I bring, again. I doubt she'll let me get out of this silly JET/Work First program, either.

That's about all I'm thinking.
