To make the change official for a different date, it would have to be done so by Troy Spiral - as this is an official DGN event.

I'll send him a PM and make note for the rest of the staff that the request has been made, though I honestly don't think the date would be changed. I could be wrong though, it does happen.

Speaking from the vantage point of somebody trying to plan another DGN event at the moment (been working on it every day for a week now), it is absolutely impossible to come up with a date time or event that satisfies everybody.
