This movie Vs That movie

Sometimes movies will come out with a very simular premise to several other movies that are around. One of them usually is embraced by pop culture and people... the other is usually pushed into underground or "cult" status. This thread is to compare movies that are simular to each other, be them remakes of originals, or movies that simply resemble one another.

I don't see the point in scene-for-scene remakes, so the original Omen wins.

near dark was awesome! the whole practical drudgery of vampire everyday life if you're not swimming in $$$ really caught me.

I'm amazed no one's remade Soilent Green yet.

I usually go for originals but think the second body snatchers was best...I only watched the original last week. (Black and white) If you consider the effects and technology and acting expertise for the time however, the original was better. Harder work and whatnot.

There were so many movies that copied it I don't even know where to begin. Then there are some that seem to copy 3 at once, and mush it all together.

Copycat is the best form of flattery. They say...I say if you’re going to tear a classic to shreds and make it crap....just don't. Plenty of new scripts out there. Give someone new a chance.
