This is a dear old internet friend of mine, whom I met about five or six years ago through a Yahoo group forum. I've been trying to convince him to join for ages, now! I see he's finally made it here to our neck of the woods. ;)

Welcome, Doc! I can't wait for you to start posting, dear.

...and now, for the usual round of DGN welcome questions.

*drum roll*

Other Stuff?

I tend to be an observer, so while I am usually around I don’t say much unless I have something different to add.

I am currently trying to get a car. Mine was lost in May to unwanted anal… I was rear ended by a Silverado – went righ over my bumper and crumpled my trunk. My little sedan could take that massive piece… and it was totaled. I have my eye on a nice 84 Red Jeep, trying to line up the finances to get it. Should have an idea tomorrow.

Well, I must be off.

Later.

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
