Does anyone know of someone that is able to perform a marriage ceremony in a non-religious setting?

What kind of non-religious ceremony are we talking about? Are you looking for a justice of the peace kinda thing?

Brookie getting married?

Kinda researching at the moment.

Justice of the peace is when you go to the courts/city hall and have them do it, right? That's not what I want to do.

I'm looking for someone who will come out to where ever the wedding with be and do a small ceremony. Would a justice of the peace come out and do that?

Like I said, I'm still researching and trying to figure out how things work.

Any one can go online and get ordained to marry, a friend of mine had there sister do it so they could get married wit out any BS ( they are wiccian) I am not sure how you go about getting ordained but from what i understand it is real easy.

get ordained

another online place

I read an article recomending this place

A forum with some info that you might want to look over if you choose this route

Also you can call wedding chappels and some times there "minister" will come to where ever and perform the ceremony for a fee. THey usual do a non denominational (sp?) cermenony or they will elt you wrtie you own vows.

Lestat and i were married at a chappel and we wrote our own everything and we had about 50 people there to witness it too.

eight years ago Chapel of The Shores (586) 775-7045

29801 Harper Ave, Saint Clair Shores, MI 48082 had a minister who would go out n about.

listings for chappels and wedding stuff

Congrats i hope all goes well when you finally get your day.

I'm pretty sure that he can't marry you if he's marrying you. I'd ask someone in the know for that one.

FInd someone who is non-denominational. Write out your own ceremony and have them perform it. That way you can have the ceremony the way you want it. That's what I was going to do when I was engaged. Since I was a pagan who was going to marry a southern baptist, I thought it best to make the ceremony that fit US instead of our religion. Try it. It makes it a little more special that way.
