I caught ED:The Musical in Toronto about 6 years ago, in the first week of it being performed.

It was awesome. The music is catchy and fun, the storyline is mostly Evil Dead 2 with a bit of Evil Dead in it, and the splatter-zone is just what it sounds like - sort of a cross between a Gallagher and a Gwar show. Mostly fake blood, but still wear some janky clothing you don't mind getting messed up a bit (the fake blood did wash out and didn't stain).

I will be going to see it again now that it will be playing in the area, and I highly recommend that everyone run-don't-walk to catch this show.
