glad to see the interest in this thread! :D

check this out - it's Mycenae Alpha by Iannis Xenakis, a Greek composer who died a few years ago. I think you'll like it. :)

perhaps I should explain the visuals: those scrolling drawings are the written notation for the composition. A UPIC machine "reads" the drawing (that's what the vertical line is) and plays the corresponding sounds.

I'm glad this thread started the way it did...but it's not meant to be just a "roots of industrial" thread. I'll be posting more of that type of thing, to be sure; I'll also drop in some newer stuff, and I encourage others to do the same. :)
