Ugh, I'd of just gone to this, but the family get together is my step fathers family, a bunch of Polish and German people who are crazy competitive, loud and argue... Kinda like me on a large scale just not very nice. lol They'd of never let me live it down if I didn't go.

I'm making the second of the French Silk Chocolate pies now. I need to dig up my cornbread recipe. My mom and I are making the sherried sweet potatoes this afternoon (after her corn pudding comes out of the oven), and I'll bring only a small dish of that. How is it that so many have such disdain for possibly the best tuberous vegetable in the universe next to rutabaga?

I am hoping the grieving TA will find a way to come. Nothing helps a hurt like friends and mashed potatoes.

I suck at RSVPing, and just now told them that I was for sure coming (to the after party, at least).

I don't have a cool kick-ass board game of any sort...BUT, I do have a very satisfying 3-D Kitteh deck of playing cards that I carry around in my bag. And I'll probably bring chips or something.
