As I sleep, I can feel you tracing my spine

With your fingers, your breath, your lips

Quietly whispering that you need me.

As I roll over, I can hear you sighing

Deeply inhaling, exhaling, over again

Quietly repeating that you need me.

As I awaken, I can see you smiling at me

Your full, sweet lips parted slightly

Quietly saying my name with feeling.

Then I wake up and look around me

I see no one. I see nothing but space.

And realize that I'm dreaming again.
