Did You Get The Tornadoes?

I just saw on the news that Detroit may very well have gotten a tornado. Did any of you see anything? I just want to make sure that y'all are okay...

I was driving home to west Michigan through that storm. I didn't see a tornado but my car was blowing all over the place, hard to hang on and stay on the road. Lots and lots of rain and wind.

It got really windy here, so I'm not too suprised that there was a tornado.

I was going to the store and the sky was pretty "normal" looking... came out and it was dark DARK with lots of very fast moving clouds and somone said that the tornado warning had been upgraded to a tornado "watch". Of course in my veriou cautious state i stood staring at the weather for like 10 minutes out of curiousity and interest and then went back and finished my shopping not worrying about the tornado, then checked the neat looking sky out again once i got done.

I dont advise this sort of action, just stating what i did. Do as i say not as i do.

The Tornadoes that hit on Sunday? I was at my daughters graduation when they hit. They touched down about 4 miles away.

it was storming and windy here. we had the t-storm watch and tornado warning. i think i actually fell asleep before either were over but no tornadoes actually hit down by me thankfully.

We had some crazy wind that blew everything over, and some nice spring T storms and skys ( there was this real pretty purple/ pink hue), the lights blinked off a few times, but all in all at my place everything and every one is safe.

I would have been standing right there with you, Troy. I might have even tossed your ass in the car to chase it!

I'm just glad that y'all are okay and that nothing sucked up your houses.

There was one near us from what I've heard. I woke up to it storming really really bad, and then we lost power from 6-11 that night.

Actually my friend George and i (some of you have met him) went and had dinner out and leaving the restuarant, half of the sky was fucking black (towards the storm) and there were funnel clouds everywhere, and real low (maybe i counted 6?). -But we we were like fucke it, because we were going to the movies, right? -So along the way it was really beautiful, looking out the passenger window (eastward) i could see this brilliant contrast where the shittyness stopped and the regular sky (where the sun was beggining to set) was and it was like this black against orange with all of these funnel clouds sort of hanging down so that there the black had an slomost serrated, or jagged look. -Yin and Yang. We went and saw Cinderalla Man (reccomended) and when we came out, it had all stopped.

I am so corny. We had watches here and I made my kid do her homework in the basement with the cat and hampster. I worry to much.

That's understandable with your kids HH, but as for me, i can't think of a more brilliant way to die then to be whisked away into fucking oblivion, swirling wrecklessly, hundreds of feet above the ground, helplessly, and watching houses and Macdonald's and Fords and somebody's dildo, etc, etc, spinning around with you towards utter destruction where you're all eventually thrown so hard together that your molecules meld with theirs and you become one with the hapless V-formation of Malards who also got caught up with you and the dildo, etc. Splat.

Edited to add Splat effect.

PS-

Best thing about Detroit is that after a tornado strikes, everything still looks exactly the same.

Actually, I have to give Billy Connely credit for that line, although when he said it, he was speaking of Glasgow and a nuclear attack...
