Rev.Reverence Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Here's the rules (& I heard that wen doin' this sort of thing, it is bestest to state that we are using Robert's Rules Of Order, saves time): ...you may not put yourself on auction... ...by auction I mean...whoever sets the date up, gets the reward... ...state te person you wish to auction, & your stated reward... .....I put up (& will receive many seconds to this) STORMKNIGHT. ...& I will provide drinks & duck-burgers (made by duck, not made of duck).

(btw, wtf are "robert's rules of order"!?) Edited November 16, 2009 by torn asunder

phee Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Robert's Rules Of Order, You have me curious sir
Msterbeau Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I was sure I was clear...nevermind... Rewrite the original post so the people who come read this get it... It just needs a few embellishments and additions to be clear.
Msterbeau Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Roberts Rules of Order are lawyer/business/government guidelines for meetings and assemblies, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert%27s_Rules_of_Order http://www.robertsrules.org/

(hey, "person X" is cool & single!) i offer something up, as an enticement for someone to accept. (free drinks, dinner, a camel, belly-button lint...) the person who accepts the date, will receive whatever it is that i've proffered. (squee!! a camel!!) that pretty close?
TheGimp Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) let me try...forgive me if I'm wrong...as i do not know Roberts Rules of Order but I'm just taking a shot in the dark.... Rev...do you mean...for example i place Marc up for action....winner of the auction or whoever gets marc for the date gets the reward like I.E. a 5th of Jack? Edited November 16, 2009 by TheGimp

Rev...do you mean...for example i place Marc up for action....winner of the auction or whoever gets marc for the date gets the reward like I.E. a 5th of Jack? *face--->palm* No man, it's like, if you put Mark up, & I find him a date...you give me a fifth... ...maybe auction is the wrong word, but, as I meant it, there is no other word...

It-looka-like-auction...?
TheGimp Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 well i was half right....but yes...i MAY buy a round of drinks....pending on how many people and how expensive the drinks are....
torn asunder Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Sounds about right... actually, not according to rev... the last bit is wrong, regarding who gets the "gift".
