Each "layer" is separate from what I can tell. You could unzip it in the middle, pull down the skirt and pull up the top.

I just hope there is fabric between the zippers and the skin (like on the legs, around the nipples, etc.) I think a malfunction of this dress would make a Lady Epilator look like a massage glove.

My point exactly. I guess you could wear a slip under it, but that would definitely lessen the impact.
