Simon Bar Sinister Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 there was a 2nd album called Speed Ballads. Came out in early '99, I believe. Never came out here; I should've bought it when I was in Ireland that summer. :(

the_fairy_gothmother Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) I was 14 when this shit came out. LOL, I thought I was a hard ass back than, yeah right, with my emo ass! in regards to ICP I have noticed that within the scene there are juggalos and juggalettes. Am I missing a connection here? I know they dress up like evil sadistic clowns but I just cant seem to wrap my head around the scene people who dig them and their music. I guess it will be one of those mysteries my brain will not know unless its explained to me. I just dont link hardcore gangsta shock rap to the scene I am into. Yes, I have heard of these terms as of recently. I personally don't do labels, stereotypes, or stigma. We, as human beings are far too complex to be placed into one specific category, for example, I am a parent, so does that mean that I only do "mommy stuff"? Of course not. I don't think a person has to stick to one genre of music, or one style of clothing, it's all about individuality, in my opinion. There are many dimensions that make a person whole, music and clothing style are a just a piece of that. I can certainly empathize with what you are saying, though. and I know it sounds like I may be classifying myself based on my commentary under the song, when I called myself "emo", but I am referring to being an emotional person, which is what emo is short for. I agree with you. I consider humans to be multifaceted like gemstones. having different sides and qualities. Some sides rougher than others.I am many things myself and somethings even contradict each other. I just guess I have a narrower taste in musical genres. I like many flavors of music but gangsta rap never did much for me, along with country and a few other genres lol. I have been called emo tho much less now that I have gotten a more hardcore goth thing going on with the falls and what not. I am very emotional it comes along with the mental illnesses I have. Noone understands me I hate you all! No just joking! Edited February 23, 2010 by the_fairy_gothmother

You are a beautiful person. Don't worry about having a diagnosis. Don't let it define you, so many people in our society feel that because they have been given a diagnosis of some sort, then it limits them. You are not limited. Recognize the symptoms and use the coping skills you have learned to control those symptoms. And we love ya, dawling. (Okay I won't thread jack anymore.) Edited February 23, 2010 by kat

I guess it will be one of those mysteries my brain will not know unless its explained to me. I just dont link hardcore gangsta shock rap to the scene I am into. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insane_Clown_Posse ..they incorporated a 'darker' element into their hip-hop-'gangsta'-rap, (they were REALLY refered to as ACID-RAP...& that's a cousin to Goth, due to the influences of funk, & psyckadelia {from the '60s} if you follow me.) a VERY long time ago...the murder in their music, makes them fall into the 'horror-genera', & they were ADOPTED by our scene before they made it in the national-rap-scene......hung with them a few times myself..oK dudes...just, when I went a bit more to the psychedelic-peace-n-love side of things..they kep getting 'worse-n-worse'..so, I don't really follow their releases anymore..but, I have heard so really enlightened tunes from their camp in the past 4 or 6 years...essentially, they have been 'here' longer than you, so you have to shut up (think, where were you at the 1993 meeting where they were adopted as one of "US"?) .....& sad to say..but, with them...KidRock, & ESHAM, were both also adopted by "US" as ones of our own... ...oh, & you aren't the only one that is sick in the head...I hate you too! ON TOPIC NOW... ...since you made me think of them...here's a couple from back in the day: ^THAT, it where MY Tribalidentification comes from...I calls me, TribeOfFrieks...& ALL who are 'Mine'...
Rev.Reverence Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 My fav kidrock tune from the day... Another good ICP tune!
