Fierce Critter Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I wanted to see this for two main reasons. First, I like Tina Fey a lot (she is the head writer & a performer on Saturday Night Live - she wrote the script & appears in it), and secondly, I experienced "mean girls" quite heavily in Jr. High and my first couple years of high school, so it's a subject that I find interesting. I actually did enjoy it as a nice piece of brain candy. I thought it was pretty well plotted for "that type" of film. And there are some definitely funny bits. I can remember these types of girls from school. Though probably not so fabulously dressed. Recommended, but only if you can go into a movie like this knowing WHAT it is and not if you disparage this type of film. Extras include some bloopers, 2 or 3 different commentary tracks, some other stuff I don't really remember (watched it a week ago).
The_Dark Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 It was nice eye candy and funny. Thats eall I expected and thats what I got. Good movie.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Like you FC, I experienced the whole "mean girls" thing in jr. high. I was basically tortured. Yet, I still would like to see this movie. I don't really know why.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I loved this movie too it was funny. However, most of the so called 'mean' girls were afraid of me in High School. That is, when I bothered to show up.
