Two Haiku

The two "true" haiku were written at my volunteer gig last week. The "Nkyinkyu" (coined by a FB friend after my name there, Hille Nkyinkyin) was written in my hotel room in Grand Rapids last week.

Predator

Gecko lifts her tail

Small dragon stalking cricket

Licks her eye, content.

Cornsnake

My Ophelia

Five feet of orange serpent

Decorates my neck

Hotel Poem

Sun westers over highway

Every passing semi

makes the room go dim
