Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

I just finished watching what is out of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, and was conflicted the entire time. Basically the first 6 episodes are exactly the same as the original. Then the story goes in a new direction. There are a few new characters and many things occur differently. The series is not finished yet (it was at episode 27 last i checked). I like it. For sure. However there is something missing about it. I can't quite put my finger on it.

So yeah, worth checking out if you are a fan of the original or even if you aren't . But i still like the original better.

Brotherhood actually from what my anime sources tell me, is supposed to be more like the manga. The origin story is the same, but there will be more faithfulness to the manga.

Ahhh ok. That makes sense, I don't really have any "sources" so to speak other than word of mouth really. Do you know when they are planning on finishing it?

No idea. There was a speedsub fansub group out there working on it, but it appears Funimation is going to put it out domestically soon. I think it is still in production in Japan.
