Can't beat the Hammer Films. Spent many a Saturday morning watching Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing & the rest battle one monster after another.

oh god

shock waves

loved that film to the extreme low budget

nazi uniforms were just blue suits with lapels pulled up and collars shortned and coloured with markers

and everyone died by drowning as its a cheap and easy faked death for film ("just 'old your breath luv, wont be a minute for this shot")

nazi zombies. what a winning combo

wednesdays i used to hold a B movie night and begged/borrowed/yoinked a differant film each week

Channels 20 & 50... ah, those halcyon pre-cable days! If you were really lucky you could catch The Ghoul late nites on 20, in between his frequent sojourns in the mental health system. Who knew... he really WAS a lunatic!

My favorite bizarre B movie (& I'm a total addict- I've seen just about all ov 'em: Fiend Without a Face, a Canadian-produced gem that features flying brain monsters with spinal column tails that hump like caterpillars when they crawl. They jump on people's necks & suck their brains out. Your life is not complete till you've seen this one!

A couple of my favorites:

Attack of the Blood Sucking Nazi Zombies (no real explaination needed)

Horror House on Highway Five (the worst horror movie ever made... Killers wear nixon masks)

Student Bodies (read protoype for the Wayans' Scary Movie)... best catch line "Malbert Pee Red"

Night of the Creeps (has the record for most endings.... basicly there are 5 different endings depending on where the movie was cut off at the end.... each station seemed to have one or more versions available to them)

House of the Long Shadows... If I remember correctly this was one of the last movies that had a number of peter cushing, christpher lee types in it... I think it was on HBO in the early 80s... and it scared the crap out of me)
