float Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Biker's are a strange mix of cool folks, old school hippies, and worthless fuck ups, who are legacies and have to hang around the others. On the up side, I played a Biker rally last weekend, got alot of good free partying and I got to MC and judge the tittie contest :whistling Just wondering what you all think of Bikers and Biker parties
Homicidalheathen Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Bikers saved my life once. I owe allot to a group out west. If it weren't for those guys I'd be dead. Bikers rule. Homicidalheathen Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Is being in a biker gang adapting ones self to a stereo type? Because most of the one's I know do so to rebel against most stereo types that are typical to our society. I dislike stereotypes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I don't mean to generalize, I was just wondering what some of your experiences have been. If they have been similar to mine
Homicidalheathen Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I got mixed up with some really bad people twice who had connections and power. These guys kept me hidden in a house full of big guys with guns. No one messed with me after that. And they are honest. The only one's not afraid to tell me when I was screwing up my life totally. If it wasn't for them I am sure I would not have made it through college and gotten off the dope. I agree with you both I don't like stereotypes AND I don't feel the term Biker is one. ManicQueen Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Bikers run in my family. My mom and step-dad are both hog riders. So I dig the bike. B~

Fierce Critter Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Yeah, there are sterotypes associated with bikers. But a lot of them have much to do with truth & reality. My sister married a biker - a true-to-life Zulu from downriver - in the early 70's. My mother was afraid that the bikers at the wedding would cause trouble. Instead, when my sister's new husband suffered a diabetic episode where HE became unreasonable & violent at the reception, it was his brother bikers who recognized what was going on with him and took care of him. Our family experiences with "true" bikers are, in general, good. Nobody I'd rather have on my side than a biker. Still, there are some negative associations that are pretty factual. A distant member of the family lost a son when a biker gang felt disrespected by him - and took out their "justice" by dousing him with gasoline & burning him to death. I also know from very close experience what rival gang members can do to each other with baseball bats. Still, there are plenty of memories I have of my brother-in-law's buddies on camping trips, and it was a lot like those scenes in the movie "Mask". A bunch of wild guys having fun, doing some good for themselves & their community, and not being afraid to admit they listen to Abba. My husband comes from a biker background. Though never a "biker gang" member, he learned to be a lot more respectful of biking in general than a lot of these jerkoffs you see riding like idiots around town. He doesn't treat it like a joyride - he is VERY aware of the dangers that come with riding a bike on today's roads & acts appropriately. He wears a full helmet & leather at all times, is sensible about his speeds & the speeds of those around him, etc. I trust him more on a bike than in a car, to be honest.
TearSandrille Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 My Uncle is a big biker. I think he's part of The Outlaws in Northern Michigan, but I'm not exactly sure because I don't spend a lot of time with them. Also, my boyfriend is a biker. In fact, he's at MMI in AZ right now. So... I guess you could say that I love bikers.
Head Wreck Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 cousin is an ex angel. damn great guy to hang with and drink with at a festival bikers rock. you know where you are with them
torn asunder Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 "bikers" are just "goths" with a different set of non-conformist attitudes! i, myself, am a biker, although i'm solo - don't go in for the herd mentality of biker gangs/clubs... in fact, i'm riding solo from k'zoo, to miami, then up to baltimore, at the end of june... yeah, "bikers" are ok...

Brenda Starrr Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Medea... This is always a possibility. Bikers need p*ssy, too.

Paper Hearts Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Soemtimes i tell bikers that my uncle made explosives for the Vigilante's (yes, it's not my grammar, if you ever see the back of their jackets there is an apostrophe before the 's') to reccomend myself to them as a person. He really did. I know it's an abstract way of talking but that's about the best story i can tell them.

Hellion Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 :devil A couple of my relatives are bikers that I grew up with my whole life.
bean Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 My biological father is a biker and my mom was one back in the day. I've met a few of my father's friends and they were cool, except a few of them wanted to go out with me and I was like "eeew, you're in your 50's and I'm in my 20's, um no." But other than that they were okay. Now the biker down the street from me is a different story- he's an asshole.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 I too, know some Outlaws and lived with bikers in AZ for 7 yrs. We have something in common. If you can get out to AZ in the spring early it is so awesome to take a trip to see the various parts of the Grand canyon on a bike. It is the best way you see so much more. My Uncle is a big biker. I think he's part of The Outlaws in Northern Michigan, but I'm not exactly sure because I don't spend a lot of time with them. Also, my boyfriend is a biker. In fact, he's at MMI in AZ right now. LadyWindstone Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 I live in Renegade territory. Mount Clemens is Vigilante's territory. I know a few from each. Working in Gibralter's you tend to learn these things. Every biker i've met has been awesome. I have no problems with any bikers.
