Well....since Joy Division is THE BEST BAND EVER! I will have to show up. EDIT: But you CAN NOT play "Atmosphere" because I will cry, espcially since you are doing this on the anniversary of his death :( Edited May 10, 2010 by DJ Nocker
pleasurekatzen Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Seriously...no one else thinks this is cool? I think it's great, but Tuesday nights are not the best for me to go out
DJ Nocker Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I think it's great, but Tuesday nights are not the best for me to go out I see, well make an exception! sleep when your dead.
DJ Nocker Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 It makes me sad that no one is paying attention to this -_- Ill bump it for TOMORROW!
DJDeadbeat Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I'll be there! I've been looking forward to this since Randy told me about it.
Joey Deadcat Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 $$ situation here...=/ What will the djs be playing, btw?
the eternal Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Ok, so I haven't been on the board much lately HOLY F%^$ING SHIT!!!!! I'm talking to bean. This sounds amazing! Atmoshere is a killer song, but if you can't play that, maybe you could consider this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPY5TxTdElM Umm...yeah. I'm a bit of a fan.
TheOsakaKoneko Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 FUCK HOW DID I MISS THIS?!?!? Tonight?!?!?? SHIT COVENANT IS TOMORROW AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT ALL WEEKEND BECAUSE OF THE CON....... BUT..... FUCKING IAN CURTIS..... FUCK... I may have to show up. FUCK. I don't know any of the DJs - but I assume it'll be appropriately awesome music. FUCK Fuck.
avince Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 $$ situation here...=/ What will the djs be playing, btw? Hey Joey, the DJ's will be playing a slew of Warsaw, Joy Division , New Order and an assortment from the Factory Records catalog. This is going to be fun and hopefully will produce more events in the near future! Hope to see you guys there!
TheOsakaKoneko Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Dammit totally wanna go to this but tooooo tired. I hope there is another one. I feel like such a loser for not going...would be a good chance to meet new people. But not many seem to be talkng about it, and I'm about to fall asleep sitting here, so it's probably not the best time...fuck. GAH. Funny the way it's worded on the Belmont site though - "celebrating the death of Ian Curtis"...wat? hahaha
Eevee Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Was gonna go but I'm just so new to Ian Curtis and Joy Division, I don't know what to expect. I dunno. I'll probably regret it. But its decided. Hope everyone has a good time.
DJ Nocker Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Yesterday was weird, as soon as I got on the highway to head to the Belmont, "Atmosphere" came on my Ipod when I had it on shuffle, a 1 and 5000 chance, lol. I had a pretty good time I like the Belmont, hope more stuff I am into happens there so I can go again. I didnt dig to much of the music until the lady spinning off vinyl went on, I really enjoyed her set. I didnt see any DGN people though, I kind of expected that though. More of a arsty/hipster turn out.

DJ Nocker Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) What kind of music were they playing? More electronic based, I mean they played JD and New Order and a few covers but I was expecting more punky type stuff, as it was a Ian Curtis night. The electronic based sound seemed to be more like New Order night. it was a good time though, im sure a play list will be up. Edited May 19, 2010 by DJ Nocker
